Anantara Maia Seychelles

Imagine waking up to the sound of gentle waves, surrounded by beautiful flowers, and looking out at the stunning Indian Ocean. Welcome to Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas, where luxury meets pure tranquility. Nestled in the heart of Seychelles, a tropical paradise known for its crystal-clear waters and lush landscapes, this resort offers a perfect escape from crowded city life. In this post, I’ll take you on a virtual tour, sharing my experiences and highlights from a getaway that felt like a dream come true. Ready to experience a world of pure relaxation? Let’s dive in!

Here we go! Let’s determine if the stay was worth it while we cover all aspects of the hotel, from the rooms to the location.

The Location

Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas is perfectly tucked away on a cliff, giving you amazing views of the island and the ocean. It’s just a 30-minute drive from Seychelles International Airport and about 40 minutes from the capital city, Victoria, so you’ll be relaxing in no time. The resort feels very private and even has its own beach for you to enjoy. Whether you’re soaking up the sun or exploring the island, this place has it all for your perfect paradise getaway.

Just keep in mind that since the resort is located on a cliff, some villas are uphill, which can make getting around a bit of a climb. There are golf carts available to shuttle you back and forth, but there might be a short wait. Going downhill is easy, but the uphill journey can be steep, so be prepared for a bit of a hike or allow some extra time for trips to the restaurant or spa.

The Rooms

The villas at Anantara Maia Seychelles are all about space and privacy. You can choose from different types, including the Ocean View Pool Villa, the Premier Ocean View Pool Villa, or the Signature Villa, each offering a spacious and secluded retreat. These villas are tucked away from one another, so you’ll never have to worry about privacy. Each one features a private pool, large bathrooms, and stunning views, creating a luxurious, home-like atmosphere where you can truly unwind and enjoy your stay.

Additionally, each villa comes with your very own villa host, and since the resort is all-inclusive, you can use their WhatsApp service to order anything from food to cocktails. Just keep in mind that because the resort is perched on a cliff, it might take about 20 to 30 minutes to get your orders to you.

Want to see inside of one of the villas? I got you:

The Restaurant

Anantara Maia Seychelles Restaurant

At Anantara Maia Seychelles, dining is both convenient and delightful. The main restaurant offers a variety of fresh and tasty dishes, with multiple options to enjoy the flavors of the island, especially the fresh fish and fruits. A live band performs several times a week, adding a fun, musical vibe to your meals. If you prefer to stay in, you can order food directly to your villa and enjoy dining in your private outdoor space. There’s also a bar where you can sip on cocktails and enjoy the scenery. For a special treat, you can book a unique beach dining experience in advance.

Most dishes and drinks are included in the all-inclusive package, though there’s a small surcharge for specific wines and premium meats. But trust me, when you’re in Seychelles, savor the local cuisine and leave your cravings for steaks at home—you won’t regret it!

The Amenities

At Anantara Maia Seychelles, you’ll find plenty of amenities to enhance your stay. Each villa boasts its own infinity pool, perfect for taking a dip while enjoying stunning views. There’s also a communal pool by the beach if you’re in the mood for a social swim. Speaking of the beach, it’s exclusively for guests, giving you a serene spot to relax.

The resort’s spa is set in a lush, forest-like setting, where you can enjoy outdoor treatments that make you feel one with nature. Plus, if you’re up for a spectacular view of the island, the resort has its own helicopter pad. You can walk right from your villa to the pad—trust me, it’s a 10/10 experience you won’t want to miss!

The Verdict
