Looking for a fun and easy way to stay active while at home? Whether you’re watching your comfort shows, catching up on your emails, or performing your favorite concert (yes, this is also an option), walking pads have become a popular solution for staying fit without ever leaving your living room.

If you’ve been scrolling any type of feed lately, these compact fitness gadgets seem to be everywhere. The concept of walking pads dates back to the early 2000s, but they really began to gather traction during the pandemic when more people started seeking home-based workout options. Over time, they evolved into sleek, minimalist designs that cater to people living in smaller spaces or those who want to stay active while working or watching TV.

With so many different models offering various shapes, sizes, colors, and speeds, choosing the right one can feel a bit overwhelming. It took me months of research before making my decision, and what ultimately sold me on the Kingsmith Walking Pad C2 was its foldable design. Unlike most walking pads, this one folds in half, making it perfect for tucking away under the couch after I’m done with my little performance of the Eras Tour.

But is the Kingsmith Walking pad C2 right for you? Let’s go over all the details so you can make an informed decision:

What Does the Kingsmith Walking Pad C2 Look Like, and Does It Fit in My Space?

Let me start by saying I’m no expert on the technology behind any Walking Pad. That being said, I can say that the Kingsmith Walking Pad C2 feels solid and trustworthy right out of the box. The walking surface is stable, and in no way did I ever feel unsafe or that it would break on me mid-walk. Unlike many other walking pads, this one folds in half, making it perfect for smaller spaces. Even after folding it multiple times, the walking surface remains in place, which is a common issue I’ve read about with other brands.

When unfolded, it measures 59 x 23 x 5.5 inches (150 x 58 x 14 cm), and when folded, it’s just 33 x 23 x 5.5 inches (85 x 58 x 14 cm). It weighs around 57 lbs (26 kg), which is about the same as an average suitcase. While it’s not overly heavy for a treadmill, keep in mind that sliding it under your couch or moving it around still requires a little effort. Fortunately, the wheels do make the process easier, but it's definitely more effort than some reviews let on. The weight is similar to other walking pads, so it’s not overly difficult, but it’s not as effortless and light as some might claim. I’ve read comments on social media saying, “Oh, it’s so easy to store,” but in my experience, it’s not exactly true. It’s manageable, but it does take a little getting used to if you're planning to move it from under your couch or bed frequently.

How Fast Does the Kingsmith Walking Pad C2 Go, What Type of Settings Are There, and What Can I Track on the Display?

The Kingsmith Walking Pad C2 is designed for walking and light jogging, with a speed range of 0.5 to 3.7 mph (0.8 to 6 km/h). For me, the fastest speed already feels quite fast, and I'm a fast walker! So, I wouldn't worry too much about the speed limit—especially if you're looking to get your steps in while watching your favorite shows or reading emails. Honestly, you likely won’t need to go much faster than that.

To adjust the speed, the Pad comes with a remote control that lets you easily switch between modes. You can also go for automatic mode, where the walking pad detects your pace and adjusts accordingly. Plus, there’s an app you can download to track your workouts, which also includes manual workouts with set intervals.

The display lets you track all the key metrics you need for a complete workout experience. You can monitor your speed, distance, and steps. Additionally, the time feature allows you to keep track of how long you've been walking, and the calorie tracker shows how many calories you've burned.

On to the Important Question: How Much Sound Does It Really Make?

This is one of the most common questions I see asked in the comment sections. In my experience, the Kingsmith Walking Pad C2 doesn’t make much sound at all. The loudest noise you’ll hear is from your own footsteps, and even those aren’t very loud. You can easily carry on a conversation, listen to music, or watch your favorite shows while walking on the pad without any disturbances. The motor runs quietly, which is a huge plus for me.

As for neighbors, I bought a mat to go under the walking pad since I have wooden floors and wanted to protect them from scratches. The mat also helps with sound absorption. I have to say, my neighbors don’t hear the walking pad at all. I live in a noisy apartment building where sounds travel, and this walking pad hasn’t caused any complaints.

How Easy Is It To Set Up and Get Started with the Kingsmith Walking Pad C2 Once It Arrives?

Setting up the Kingsmith Walking Pad C2 is incredibly easy and doesn’t take much time at all. It arrives preassembled, so you don’t need to worry about any complicated setup. All you need to do is unfold the walking pad, plug it in, and you’re ready to go. It’s a hassle-free process that gets you strolling in no time.

One thing I should mention for you to keep in mind before you start - when I first got my Walking Pad, I was so excited to try it out that I didn’t read the manual (oops!). I ran into a small hiccup: it was stuck on speed 3, and I had no idea why. Turns out, for safety reasons, the walking pad is locked on speed 3 until you complete the novice guide. It’s a quick setup, literally taking about three minutes, that gets you acquainted with using the remote, controlling the pace, and setting up the app. Once you do that, you’re good to go!

The Verdict - Is the Kingsmith Walking Pad C2 Worth The Investment?

The Kingsmith Walking Pad C2 is a fantastic investment, and I’m very happy with my purchase. It's perfect for staying active at home, especially if you have limited space and are looking for something quiet and reliable. Plus, it’s often on sale, so be sure to keep an eye out for a discounted price!

As someone with knee issues, I can't go jogging outside, but I don’t experience any discomfort with this walking pad. The shock absorption works wonders, making it easier on my joints, and the fact that I’m walking rather than jogging really helps. If you're struggling to get your daily steps in, this is an incredibly easy and accessible way to do it. Instead of just sitting on the couch while watching your favorite shows or attending meetings, you can now get your steps in from the comfort of your own home. Or, like me, you can turn it into an even more fun experience—put on your favorite concert and sing along! It’s a great way to get your steps in while boosting your core strength and breathing.

To Summarize the Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • Folds in half for easy storage under couches or beds

  • Quiet motor, won’t disturb your neighbors

  • Tracks workouts via the app, making it easy to stay on top of your progress

  • Sturdy and reliable with shock-absorbing belt for joint comfort

  • Great for small spaces

Cons:

  • Not as lightweight as I expected, but it is comparable to other walking pads

  • 220 lbs (100 kg) weight limit may not be suitable for everyone

Overall, for me, it’s been a worthwhile investment, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an easy, accessible way to get their daily steps in. If you have any questions or need more info about this Walking Pad, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to help!
